Hello I am Mohit Kumar a final year undergrad pursuing Computer Engineering from Delhi Technological University(DTU) formerly Delhi College of Engineering(DCE). I am an avid open source enthusiast, a programmer and an android developer. I have knowledge in many different areas namely Operating Systems, Database Management Systems, Algorithms, Digital Image Processing, Distributed Systems and Cryptography.

• April 2019 - Present

GSoC’19 mentor under fossasia where I mentor university students for various projects.

Google Summer of Code 2018 Intern

Software Development Internship• April 2018 - August 2018

GSoC’18 intern under fossasia working for the project SUSI.AI which is spread accross web, android, iOS and even Hardware.
Developed the Android app under MVP architecture and successfully published on play store and on FDroid.
Followed all the design patterns and code style guidelines.
Integrated the app with SUSI Smart Speaker that was developed using RaspBerry Pi and has features like hotword detection and music play.

Google Code-In Mentor

GCI'18 Mentor at FOSSASIA• October 2018 - December 2018

Chosen as the GCI mentor for the year 2018 under the open source organisation fossasia.
Mentoring various projects under fossasia and reviewing the pull requests of the students participating in GCI'18 program.

Active open source contributor to FOSSASIA’s codeheat 2017 in different projects.
Made several commits to Phimp.me Android project (An image editing app), which consisted of adding varying features like editing the images in landscape mode.
Contributed in the Open source organisation Mifos Initiative in the project Mifos Wallet.

Worked on developing a social network, used dlib library forface detection.
Followed the MVP architecture to build the software with proper code style and design patterns.
Effective material design was implemented to make the app attractive to the user.

International Organisation of Software Developers

Developer, now Mentor• December 2016 - Present

Started as a small group of developers, developed small college projects like official cultural fest app etc.
Moved on to bigger projects and developed an android app for Delhi Police. Organised many Tech events in college and around the city.
Started many student chapters in different colleges around the country, today IOSD has more than 10k members.
